Irenicon Interview

May 3rd, 2012  |  Published in Book, Interview, Irenicon, Review

Locus, the long running US SF magazine, tips Irenicon as one of its Notable New UK Books, March– April. Surreal but wonderful to be mentioned alongside the likes of Iain Banks.
Here’s an interview with Shelley Marsden of the Irish World and an insightful review from Marc Aplin of Fantasy Faction. Thanks to both.
Back in the studio now and enjoying myself playing in the mud. I’ll post some pictures soon. AH

Irenicon, in bookshops

April 1st, 2012  |  Published in Book, Interview, Irenicon

Flags up, Bandieratori! Irenicon is at last available to buy.

This is my interview with Stefan Fergus of Civilian Reader

You can read the full text of Ellen Trevan’s review here but this is an extract:  ”Think House of Flying Daggers colliding with a Roman Empire and you’re starting to get the idea. The martial arts described are brilliant, they flow like water down the river as individuals effortlessly scale alley walls and traverse rooftops without disturbing a single slate.”

And here’s another by Erik Lundqvist of iwillreadbooks.  The Eastercon launch is at 6pm on Saturday. Get on down!
